This internship is designed for students who have a strong interest in the visual arts. Interns write and mail news releases, as well as write copy for our website and newsletters. Position also involves assisting and offering input in all forms of visual arts marketing, from internet development to print advertising.

Assist in coordination of volunteer activities for NextArts. Write newsletter articles, assist with volunteer recognition event, prepare materials for volunteer training and coordinate logistics required to train volunteers, schedule volunteer shifts, answer questions and handle requests over the phone and in person.Assist in creating
Assist with the coordination of all performers and event production. Assist in review of materials submitted by artists, coordination of maintaining on-going performer files, and review of performer contracts as they relate to producing events. Involvement with securing necessary resources to fulfill performer riders and contracts. Involvement with visual aspects of events (stage layout and design and visual site design).
Sponsor Relations Intern
Sponsor relations deals with the inter-related motivations of sponsorship such as building community awareness for area businesses, securing hospitality rights for client or employee recognition, marketing opportunities, or team building through volunteering. Interns will have the opportunity to assist in sponsorship fulfillment, which may include involvement with video and graphic media, interacting with representatives of concert and/or event sponsors, assistance with banner presentations, and assistance with the overall hospitality plan for concerts.
Interns should have a diverse background in modern communication techniques, and possess a moderate knowledge of marketing, business and/or public relations skills. The ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face meetings and on the telephone is necessary. Moderate problem solving skills in the field are a plus. Attention to detail is a must.
